I wrote an itty-bitty dark humor horror story,"The Elevated Spider", that's posted at The Daily Tourniquet. You'll need to scroll down.

Fantastic. *Must remember not drink punch at office parties*. :)
Thanks, Catherine and BYOB ;-)
Nice one. I did one on a similar theme for Champagne Shivers where a birthday boy with an injured ego invites all his office collegues to a party with a magician...who unwittingly (or so he thinks) conjures a flock of bizzare creatures in the form of floating vampire heads to devour the guests. It's called "The Shock Value of Bad Magic" and appears in this years issue, 2009. You definitely have a flair for the flash/miro story format. Great stuff!
Normally, I hate spiders (I can’t even begin to tell you how much) but yours was good fun.
Hi Rebecca,
Loved the story. I even wanted to know more. Keep up the good work. I'll bet that there are a few twist left in you.
Hugs, Euphoria
Mk--Thanks. If I keep a horror piece under a thousand words I'll keep it chilling, but any longer I gotta infuse some hope, like with "The Caulbearers". I don't like hanging out in the dark too long. Your story sounds amazing. Flying vampire heads, precious.
L.R.--Oh come on, spiders are great; what's not to love? Is is all the hairy legs, the juice sucking thing? . . . sorry. Thanks, by the way. ;-)
Euphoria--Glad you liked it and I hope you're right about the twists.
Late to the party but glad I made it. Creepy in a warm and somewhat cozy way - nice.
